The University of Debrecen is inviting applications for the Pannonia Scholarship Program to support the mobility of its staff for training purposes for the 2025/26 academic year.
1. Aim of the program
Supporting the training mobility of Debrecen University staff at host institutions abroad, providing opportunities for professional development and international experience.
2. A pályázat tárgya
Successful applicants will participate in a training program organized by a foreign higher education institution or other foreign host institution. The supported duration of the training cannot be less than 2 days and cannot exceed 5 days. (In addition, depending on the distance, one travel day may be included in the duration of mobility and the duration of the scholarship support).

3. Eligible activities
- Training mobility at a partner institution (2-5 days)
- Participation in other training programs at foreign host institutions (2-5 days)

Applicants should note that the grant does not necessarily cover the costs of travel and accommodation abroad, but merely contributes to the realization of foreign mobility, so additional resources may also be required.
4. Who can apply?
Those who meet the following conditions are eligible to submit an application:
- Hungarian citizen (or residing in Hungary with a long-term residence permit or as a refugee);
- full-time or part-time employee of the University of Debrecen
5. Deadline and method for submitting applications:
Deadline for submitting applications: September 30, 2025.
Applications can be submitted on the University of Debrecen's online platform by completing the online application form in full and uploading the listed attachments.
Incomplete or formally incorrect applications will be rejected.
6. Documents to be attached:
- A work plan approved by the dean/department head/institute director, which includes the planned content of the training activities.
- CV
- Copy of the acceptance letter/invitation
7. Additional documents required for concluding the grant agreement:
If the grant is awarded, the University of Debrecen will conclude a grant agreement with the applicant, the terms and conditions of which are set out in the following documents:

- signed travel authorisation
- bank account statement containing the following information: account holder's name, bank name and SWIFT code, IBAN bank account number, bank account currency
- EU TAJ card or valid travel insurance
8. Evaluation of submitted applications:
The International Office evaluates the submitted applications with the involvement of the faculty mobility coordinators in the case of applicants belonging to faculties, taking into account the relevant evaluation criteria of each faculty and the available resources.
Applicants will be notified by email whether their application has been accepted or rejected.
9. Additional conditions
An applicant may undertake a maximum of one mobility per academic year with the support of the program. In the case of training mobility, the applicant may not be an employee of the host institution, and if the host institution finances part or all of the costs of travel and/or stay abroad, the employee is not eligible for a scholarship.
