Types of applications in the CEEPUS program:

Currently, accredited higher education institutions from the following countries participate in the CEEPUS program:

  • Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia

The CEEPUS agreement was signed by the education ministers of the member countries on December 8, 1993, and student and teacher exchanges between partner institutions began in the second semester of the 1994/1995 academic year.

The full text of the applicable legislation is available on this page.

Each of the above member countries has a National CEEPUS Office (NCO) with national jurisdiction responsible for the national coordination of the program.

The contact details of the national CEEPUS offices in the partner countries can be found on the website of the Central CEEPUS Office (www.ceepus.info) by clicking on the country flags.

The operational framework of the program is provided by the scholarship months offered by the member countries. Prior to the current academic year, the CEEPUS Ministerial Conference determines the mobility framework provided by each country for the purposes specified above, as well as the monthly stipends for visiting students and teachers. As each country provides support to its incoming scholarship holders, the amount of the scholarships varies from country to country. The current support amounts can be found on the website of the Central CEEPUS Office (www.ceepus.info) by clicking on the flags of the individual countries.

In Hungary, this task is performed by the Tempus Public Foundation.
