The University of Debrecen, in the framework of the Pannonia Scholarship Programme, invites applications for the support of staff mobility for training purposes for the autumn and spring semesters of the academic year 2024/25.
1. Aim of the application
To support the mobility of the staff of the University of Debrecen for training purposes in a foreign host institution, which provides an opportunity to develop professional competences and gain international experience.
2. Subject of the application
The successful candidates will participate in a training programme organised by a higher education institution or other host institution abroad. The supported duration of the training cannot be less than 2 days and cannot exceed 5 days. One travel day may be included in the duration of the mobility and in the duration of the grant.
The host institution cannot be in the country of residence of the applicant.

3. Eligible activities
- Training mobility in a partner institution (2-5 days)
- Participation in other training programmes in a host institution abroad (2-5 days)
Staff receive a grant (scholarship) for training abroad. The amount of the grant depends on the duration of the training activity and the country of destination.: https://internationaloffice.unideb.hu/pannonia-osztondijprogram-tamogatasi-osszegek
Applicants should note that the grant does not necessarily cover the costs of travel and stay abroad, but only contributes to the mobility abroad, and therefore other additional funding may be needed.
4. Who can apply?
To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following conditions:
- a Hungarian citizen (either a long-term resident or a refugee);
- a full-time or part-time employee of the University of Debrecen;

Applications that are incomplete or not in due form will be rejected.
6. Documents to be attached:
- The work plan approved by the Dean/Head of Department/Head of the Institute, which includes the planned content of the training activity.
- CV
- Copy of letter of acceptance/invitation
7. Additional documents required for the conclusion of the grant agreement:
In the case of a successful application, the University of Debrecen will conclude a grant agreement with the applicant, the terms of which are set out in the following documents:

- signed travel authorisation
- a bank account certificate containing the following information: name of the account holder, bank name and SWIFT code, IBAN bank account number, currency of the bank account
- EU TAJ (European Health Card) or valid travel insurance
8. Evaluation of the submitted applications:
The International Office evaluates the applications submitted by the faculty mobility coordinators, taking into account the relevant evaluation criteria of each faculty and the available resources.
Applicants will be notified by e-mail if their application has been accepted or rejected.
9. Additional conditions
An applicant may carry out up to one mobility per academic year with the support of the programme. In the case of educational mobility, the applicant must not be an employee of the host institution and, if the host institution finances all or part of the costs of the outward and/or inward travel, the staff member is not eligible for a grant.
In case of mobility for training purposes to a higher education institution: the University of Debrecen has a valid cooperation agreement with the host institution.
