The University of Debrecen invites applications for short-term study and research mobility within the framework of the Pannonia Scholarship Programme for the autumn and spring semesters of the academic year 2024/2025.

1. The aim of the programme
The aim is to give students of the University of Debrecen the opportunity to study or conduct research abroad with scholarship support.
2. Eligible applicants
Students enrolled at the University of Debrecen (bachelor, master, full-time graduate, doctoral and higher vocational education, full-time and correspondence courses) who have active student status.
You can only apply for research mobility at master's and doctoral level, and for students in a one-cycle programme you must have completed 7 semesters.
Individuals with doctoral candidate status are not eligible to apply.
3. Eligible activities
Activities eligible under this call for proposals:
- Student mobility for studies (2-14 days) (e.g. conference presentation, summer university, mixed intensive programme, block course participation)
- Research mobility (2-30 days): only at Master's and Doctoral level; in the case of one-cycle degree courses, with a minimum of 7 completed semesters
The mobility must be completed between 1 November 2024 and 31 August 2025.

5. Conditions of the application
General eligibility criteria
- The student is an active student at the University of Debrecen, i.e. he/she is studying for a degree on a full-time or part-time basis
- The student is a Hungarian citizen, or has a valid residence permit for the duration of the application and the period of the stay.
- The destination of the scholarship mobility can be chosen from among the partner institutions with which the University of Debrecen has a corresponding bilateral inter-institutional agreement, with the exception of conference lectures.
- The student passed the institutional assessment.
- The student has the required language skills (language of study or research at the partner institution) and can provide credible evidence of this at the time of the assessment of the application.
- The maximum cumulative duration of mobility is 12 months per training cycle. In the case of one-cycle training, the maximum cumulative mobility period is 24 months.
- A written study contract, agreed in terms of content, must be concluded before the start of study abroad. The activities carried out during the mobility must fit in with the student's study plan.
- At the end of the period of study, the host institution abroad must issue a certificate of completion of the study programme and the results obtained.
- After the scholarship period, the student must prepare a research report covering the activities and results of the mobility period. The report will be accepted by the student's supervisor and the head of the department/institute of the host institution.
- The sending institution is obliged to fully accept the activities undertaken, completed and certified in the study contract.
- Students are enrolled as full students at their home institution during the period of study abroad and are entitled to study grants, social benefits or other loans, but must also pay tuition fees and other fees at the home institution.
- Students must have active status at the sending institution until the end of their mobility.
6. Documents required to submit an application

- Credit certificates for the semesters completed during the training (at least 1 semester). In the case of Master's and doctoral programmes, if the applicant has not yet completed a semester, a certificate for the last semester of the previous Bachelor's or Master's programme may be submitted. The certificate must include the subjects completed and the scholarship index.
- Proof of language proficiency of at least level B2 (language examination certificate of language proficiency in the language of study or certificate of language proficiency from the language lectorate);
- A photocopy of your CV in Hungarian or English;
- A letter of motivation stating the applicant's objectives, the studies to be undertaken and the university to which he/she is applying (to be submitted using the online application form);
- For research mobility: a research plan pre-approved by the supervisor/supervisor
- Letter of Acceptance
- Proof of academic work / TDK participation (optional);
- Proof of public student activities (optional).
Important! Faculties and departments may impose additional restrictions on applicants. Please check the specific requirements for each faculty or department before submitting your application.
7. Conditions for outgoing student mobility for study and research purposes:
- A positive decision on the application by the relevant faculty committee, and a positive assessment at institutional level. Documentary evidence of active student status for the semester of the placement.
- A letter of acceptance from the applicant institution abroad.
- A study contract with agreed content must be concluded before the start of the studies abroad. The study contract signed by all three parties (student, sending institution, host institution) should include the studies to be carried out at the partner institution and the way in which they are to be credited to the University of Debrecen. In the case of research mobility, the details of the planned research and the expected outcome.
- Permission of the Faculty Studies Subcommittee (depending on the faculty).
- European Union health card or health and accident insurance valid in the host country and professional liability insurance.
- A valid student visa issued to the student, if required by the host country.
8. Grants
Please note that the scholarship does not necessarily cover all the costs incurred during your stay abroad, which may need to be supplemented from other sources.
