SMT 2023-24 Erasmus Traineeship Mobility to Programme Countries

ERASMUS+ Call for application KA131 for student mobility for traineeships in programme countries

Academic year 2023/2024 (February 2023 - 31 July 2024)

The University of Debrecen invites applications for traineeship mobility within the Erasmus+ programme for the academic year 2023/2024.

About the ERASMUS+ programme

Erasmus+ is a European Union programme covering education, training, youth and sport.

More information:

1.Aim of the application

Traineeship in a company or organisation in another programme or partner country. The aim is to help you acquire the skills needed in the Community labour market and to understand the economic and social culture of the host country.

The host institution may be a private or public institution in the labour market, education, training or youth field. It cannot be a National Agency in another Programme Country or an organisation funded by EU funds.

2.Eligible applicants

Students enrolled at the University of Debrecen (bachelor, master, master's, doctoral and higher vocational education, full-time and correspondence courses) who are students. Individuals with doctoral candidate status are not eligible to apply. Students who are in receipt of a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship may not be mobile during their studies.

Important! In view of the limited funding possibilities, the Erasmus Committee has decided that for the academic year 2023/2024, students who are on a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship at the University of Debrecen will not be able to apply for a post-graduate traineeship.

3.Eligible activities

Traineeship mobility of higher education students (duration 2-12 months).

Combination of studies and placements (duration 2-12 months).

Important! In view of the limited funding possibilities, the Erasmus Committee has decided that for the academic year 2023/2024 the maximum period of support for student placements will be 4 months (120 days). Exceptions to this rule may be made only in particularly duly justified cases and with the permission of the faculty. The limitation only concerns the funded period, and the mobility may also include a "zero-grant" period for which the participant does not receive a grant but is granted Erasmus status.

Last date for end of mobility: 31 July 2024.

4.Countries participating in the programme

Programme countries:

Member States of the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden)

5.Eligibility criteria

General conditions for participation

  • Recent graduates may also participate in a traineeship within 12 months of graduation (in this case, they must apply before obtaining their diploma and, if successful, they must have a grant contract while still an active student.
  • Teaching assistantship mobility is also considered as an internship.
  • Participation is possible during the first year of higher education.
  • The student must have the necessary language skills (work language of the host institution) and provide credible proof of this at the time of the assessment of the application. Language support: OLS.

  • The maximum cumulative duration of mobility in a training cycle is 12 months (even if zero grant mobility). • At the end of the professional mobility period, the host institution/company abroad must issue a certificate of the training programme completed and the results obtained.
  • The sending institution is obliged to seek full acceptance of the placement.
  • Students are enrolled as full students at their home institution during the period abroad and are entitled to study grants or other loans, but must also pay tuition fees and other fees at the home institution (exception: mobility within 12 months of graduation).
  • The student must be an active student at the sending institution until the end of the mobility (exception: mobility within 12 months after graduation).
  • Students who undertake a placement in a higher education institution at the host institution are exempt from tuition fees and enjoy the same rights as all students enrolled at the host institution.
  • In the case of placement mobility, faculties may impose additional specific restrictions, taking into account the specificities of each faculty.
